The past two months have been crazy.  Honestly, I’ve barely opened up the manuscript to work on it.  I’ve been job hunting, shuttling kids, avoiding internet drama, interviewing, preparing for Brickworld Chicago, and now Summer break is here! (Which means everything is growing outside.) 🌿🌱  Regardless, I think about the next book every day.  I know a lot of you are anxiously awaiting its release date, so I will try to make a renewed concerted effort to focus on it! A little bit each day, and we should inch this thing forward…🐌 👈 For now, check out this page.­

If you’re attending Brickworld in Chicago this Father’s Day weekend (June 20 – 21st), I encourage you to stop by and visit me!  (I’m by the exit.) This year’s theme is “Such Great Heights”, and at first, I wasn’t sure what I could build.  The obvious choice was a tall skyscraper, but since I love modulars so much, I came up with this mechanised fever dream I’m calling “Mighty Morphin’ Modular Man.”  I cheated a bit with an aluminum skeleton, but it’s still very awesome to see in person.  I lit the whole thing and even installed oscillating fan parts at the neck joint so the head can pivot back and forth.  Now I just have to figure out how to transport this beast to Chicago! 😥

I envision waiting for Around Town to come out must be like waiting for a bus.  You never really know when it’ll show up!  So, I made a little graphic to at least guide us on the route it’ll take.  I hope you enjoy watching its progress as much as I do.  And in case you’re wondering, I’m measuring the back of the bus crossing the “STOP” line as making it to “Publish St.”! 😅
